Wetpixel and Sam’s Tours hosted a image makers party during the ADEX Show, Singapore. Over 50 people gathered at Vatos Urban Tacos to chat, socialize, network and have good time. The party drank the bar dry at the original venue, before heading on to another bar and keeping on going until 3am. Fortunately for those of us unable to attend, Wetpixel’s Drew Wong was on hand to document the action.
No DEMA show would be complete without the infamous Wetpixel/DPG Underwater Imaging party. Apart from being indisputably the best party at the show, it is probably the biggest gathering of underwater image makers on the planet. For 2017, it will be held on the poolside at the Rosen Centre, Orlando on Thursday 2 November, starting at 8pm.
Wetpixel is joining forces with Scubacam again to present the underwater imaging community with their annual ADEX gathering. If you shoot pictures or video underwater and plan to be at ADEX, you really need to come along! It is going to be held at the Highlander Bar & Restaurant on Clarke Quay on Friday 10 April from 7pm till late.
The annual ADEX show is being held at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Singapore from 11 to 13 April. Wetpixel plans to be there reporting “live” from the show, and it is also the time for the Wetpixel/Scubacam Underwater Imaging party. Like its sibling at DEMA, the Wetpixel/Scubacam party is the place to meet and hang out with fellow underwater camera enthusiasts. This year, our party moves up 20 floors to ME@OUE, which overlooks the wonderful Marina Bay.
As it has been for the last 3 years, the ScubaCam/Wetpixel party was held on the first night of the Asian Dive Expo 2013 at Verve Pizza Bar. This year, the turn out was especially strong, with over 40 people joining the party, and it turned into a standing room only affair. From manufacturers like Subal and Nauticam to dive centers and even conservationists like Manta Trust, it was a fun night… and yes, we closed the bar down! I’ll let the pictures do the talking.
